JOSEPH M. GYULAY, Founder and Chairman
The Philanthropy Services of Hesperina
Beginning in 1986, Joseph created foundations that focused on education, health and human services. Along with cultural concerns, his non-profit foundations supported environmental efforts and animal welfare. Recently, his interest in cultural and educational philanthropy moved towards seeking projects that help create open democratic societies, foster freedom of the press and respect for human rights. These projects encourage economic growth and job opportunities as a way to stabilize and reduce poverty.
Hesperina was created to help orphan children suffering in Southeast Asia and to provide support for organizations funding the total care and education of children without parents.
Hesperina seeks to build and improve orphanages and to assist groups that provide food, housing, medical care and educational services to young orphan children. Complete orphan care for teen orphans includes vocational training, entrepreneurship and college entrance programs.
